The upgraded Brompton Bike Hire app now offers a seamless, multilingual, and multi-currency experience, catering to both locals and the expected influx of international visitors during the Games. The app’s user-friendly features, like real-time bike availability and secure locking mechanisms, have already made it a favourite among users.
To ensure a successful global launch, Absolute Design modernised the app’s technology. Key upgrades included transitioning to October CMS 3.6, leveraging Laravel 9 and PHP 8.2, and updating various packages for enhanced performance and security.
The result is a scalable, robust app ready for a global audience.
Brompton Bike Hire’s commitment to sustainability aligns perfectly with Paris’s own environmental goals. The city’s ambitious expansion of cycle routes creates an ideal landscape for the app to flourish, offering both residents and visitors an eco-friendly way to explore.
Face the Future & Customer First Digital
Providing personalised customer experiences and an alternative way to consume content and shop is always at the forefront of our strategy. Existing and future shoppers are increasingly time poor, overloaded with shopping options via an increased level of online competition and compounded by the rise of social shopping, via platforms such as TikTok.
Customer First Digital and Face the Future knew that it was imperative to launch with an app at pace, to service growing consumer demand. The launch of a minimum viable solution to quickly test the waters of an unknown sales channel, before increasing investment was critical to proving the concept.
The results we’ve seen over a relatively short period of time speaks for themselves, over achieving on expectations. The increasing revenue contribution, growth in engagement and positive feedback from the community, has enabled further investment in both additional resource and the redevelopment, offering features and functionalities offered, with the launch of a new app, which gives us the platform for long term success.

Vervaunt – Census
Census, a product of Vervaunt Labs, is a pre- and post-purchase survey app designed for Shopify stores, with the likes of PANGAIA, Guess, Represent, RIXO, A.P.C., Strathberry and more implementing the app.
With Census, merchants can ask questions on brand sentiment, customer attribution, site bugs and issues, and more. Questions can be added based on specific rules, allowing for audience segmentation by device, product, category, location, and tags.
All feedback collected is associated with orders and customers, enabling a deeper understanding of feedback and its impact. The app has expanded its capabilities to include onsite surveys, targeting visitors with dynamic questions to gather real-time insights, not just after checkout.
Census has also integrated AI into its service to handle the analysis of monthly survey responses, especially as some merchants receive up to 15/20k responses per month, which is unmanageable and overwhelming for an individual. The AI crunches and analyses this data, providing merchants with summarised insights, actionable recommendations, and highlighting both positive and negative aspects in a user-friendly format.
Additionally, the app utilises AI to tag responses into relevant filters, such as shipping, sizing concerns, bugs, checkout and payment, enabling quick issue identification. AI is also used for sentiment analysis regarding satisfaction scores.
Key USPs include:
– Conducting post-purchase questions dynamically based on products ordered, customer location, device, and whether they used discounts or gift cards.
– Using AI to process the data and present actionable next steps for the merchant to improve based on feedback.
– Conducting onsite surveys with dynamic questions based on URLs, device, and user location.
– Summarising all key learnings into weekly email summaries to the eCommerce team.
