Best eCommerce Re-platform (up to 50 Employees)
Built For Growth Digital (Nails Inc) – Shopify
Nails Inc, a leading UK beauty brand, sought to evolve its digital infrastructure to meet rising customer expectations and improve global market performance. The brand transitioned from IRP Commerce to Shopify Advanced, aiming for greater flexibility, scalability, and a more integrated tech ecosystem. Partnering with BFG, the goal was to create a high-performance, conversion-optimised online experience.
Key objectives included improving conversion rates, boosting average order value (AOV), ensuring seamless cross-border trading, and enhancing marketing performance through email, feeds, and analytics. The transition resulted in impressive results:
- 22.4% increase in conversion rate within two weeks of launch
- 15% growth in AOV through strategic upselling and bundling
- 7% YoY sales growth in April, despite the replatforming process
The migration to Klaviyo for email marketing led to a 24% increase in open rates, 38% rise in click-through rates, and a 69% revenue boost in just 30 days. The replatform also enabled streamlined logistics, improved customer experience, and better marketing attribution.
The project’s success was due to deep strategic thinking, minimal downtime, and seamless integration of Shopify’s capabilities. This transformation positioned Nails Inc for continued growth across both the UK and US markets, creating a strong foundation for future success.
Commotion – Cloudfy
Commotion, a leading supplier of educational toys to schools, nurseries, and distributors across the UK and Europe, has successfully replatformed its B2B ecommerce site using Cloudfy.
Facing challenges with an outdated website, lack of ERP integration, and no transactional capability for trade customers, Commotion needed a modern, scalable solution. They chose Cloudfy for its strong B2B feature set and seamless integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
The new site launched in February 2025 as a fully branded, mobile-optimised catalogue experience. While it currently operates in a non-transactional mode, it has been built with the full infrastructure to support self-service ordering, customer-specific pricing, and loyalty tools in future phases.
Key features include user role management, order templates, voucher functionality, and improved asset handling for product documentation. Working with a third-party design agency, Commotion ensured that their new platform met both operational and visual expectations.
This replatforming has given Commotion control, flexibility, and the foundation to better serve its B2B customers digitally. With future transactional rollout planned, the project exemplifies how a forward-thinking brand can align ecommerce with strategy—setting a new standard in the educational supply sector.
House of Hackney – Unified
House of Hackney is a British interiors brand renowned for its bold prints, artistic heritage, and commitment to sustainability. But while its aesthetic was fearless, its Magento 2 site was outdated, unreliable, and failed to meet the needs of its global audience. Unified led a full-scale replatform to Shopify Plus — not just to improve performance, but to transform the entire digital experience.
This ambitious build unified B2C and B2B into a single, seamless storefront, supported made-to-order complexity, and introduced powerful new features tailored to the brand’s unique product and user needs. At the heart of the transformation were custom-built Shopify apps — including a wallpaper and paint calculator that lets customers input room dimensions to reduce waste, and a one-click sample ordering system that streamlines the buying journey.
We balanced House of Hackney’s maximalist identity with performance-led UX, delivering a rich, immersive, and editorial shopping experience that works beautifully across devices and regions. From custom PDPs to enhanced merchandising tools, the new platform empowers the internal team while staying true to the brand’s values.
The result? A high-performing, sustainable, and scalable ecommerce experience — and a digital flagship worthy of one of Britain’s most distinctive design houses.

The decision to collaborate with Herd as their agency partner has fundamentally changed the PDH Sports business, reinforcing their position as the number one provider of Squash equipment, whilst capturing market share in new key categories.
Growth plans have been accelerated, expanding the team, moving into new warehouse premises, accommodating more brands, and building stronger relationships than ever before with key suppliers – all-in-all a grand slam result.
